The Spammer Strikes Back
Posted by: Josh
So, the Alien Clown Spammer, from the Spam War linked to your left(I'd suggest
you read it first), got a little fed up with the Spam we were sending him. I'm
not sure how he found the site, but he sent me this e-mail.

Get a life IDIOT!!!

Just erase me from your webshit because
your stupid webshit won't last for long. I will hack it!! Lets stop
it here!!!
|
My such language, and he seemed so friendly during our last exchange. I didn't
reply, he just seemed so....snippy. Why do people always think they can scare
you by threatening to "hack" you? Honestly, with how many "hax0r" threats I've
brought upon this site so far, it's like water off the idiots back to me now.
But luckily he graced me with more humor a few days later.

Well, since you didn't reply my previous email I just contacted the
network service of .ca domain (where your webshite is registered). I
advice you to give an end in this crap of "advertising" me as a SPAM
because
1. All crappy messages I receive will be forwarded to you
2. If you don't delete me from your site immediately the network service
will ban your site permanently and you will be looking for a new domain.
I found your email in a guestbook and decided to show you these sites because you
might be interested. If you someone signed for you
just for joke this is not my fault. You could had ignored my
message; Simple and short. Spam email is when someone sends porno,
racist and even sites to advertise for getting money.
YOU DEMANDED ME TO LEAVE YOU ALONE BUT I CAN'T DO SO IF YOU DON'T
I hope I'll never hear from you again

Tee Hee. What a sad little, gimpy spammer. I didn't reply to this one either.
He then started forwarding ALL the spam he got from the site to Dave and myself,
mail bombed us and sent us each a virus. SOMEONE TELL THE PRESIDENT, THE DREADED
"HAX0R'S" ON THE LOOSE. Viruses are about as scary as being threatened to get
hacked: I mean, if someone who your either don't know or have blood lust for,
sends you an executable, you deserve what happens if you're stupid enough to download
it. The guy obviously deserves everything he's getting: he called fs a "webSHIT"!
And he spammed me first, did I mail bomb him? Did I send him a virus?
I most certainly did not. The utter gall of this, when all we did was "do unto
others as they did unto us". His spammy ass got blocked after he stopped being
amusing and just got annoying. The day after the "virus scare of '42" Dave got
an e-mail form a chap claiming he was ready, willing and able to shut fucksociety
down. Imagine our surprise and unease.

Dear Web master,
This is a message from ******, the internet providers in Canada. We
received last week a complaining message from the user Keith Poseidon
(user name poseidon@mail.vu) that you attack him personally through
your website. We visited your site and were really surprised to see
that you have put in public access his email ad with the excuse that
he "spammed" you. We even read the part (as he asked us) that
shows the reason you spam him. The fact that he sent you a message asking
you to visit some sites about history and mythology (we already visited
them) is not a reason to be considered as a "spam". On the
other hand we were very surprised to read your answer, using such a
gross language!!! The conclusion is that personal attacks in such ways
through Internet are STRICTLY forbidden (particularly If there's no
reason) and as a webmaster you should already know this. We send you
this message to warn you that your website is at a GREAT RISK If you
don't ERASE immediately his email ad from your site. Within Thursday
your site will have been checked and If you fail to comply with this
demand the URL www.fucksociety.ca will be PERMANENTLY disabled from
the network. This action will take place between 3 to 5 weeks from today
and additionally legal action may be taken against you WITHOUT further
warning. If you have any questions I will be happy to answer them so
you can email or phone me.

Dear sir,
I think this is fake, in part because this man was indeed a spammer.
Both myself and the person who works on the site with me received unsolicited
mail, mail bombs and virus from the man in question. We are only doing
to him what he did to us.
I would like a Canadian contact number and name.
Thank you for your time.
Dave Teatro.

Dear Webmaster,
I read your message and I visit your website also reading what you wrote
about me. To answer your comment: The message this person sent you cannot
be considered as spam for reasons explained previously. Also according
to what I read in your site, you obviously don't do to him what he did
to you. I will check tomorrow (Thursday - late afternoon - UK time)
your site and If you have not erased his email address I will forward
a report to network manager in Canada and paste the appropriate parts
of your site in case you alter them including your answer to my other
message. The manager is the one to decide about such problems as I have
to be authorised before getting into any action but don't be very optimistic.
I am sorry but I can't give you a Canadian phone number since the particular
****** service is based in UK. I can phone you however from my office
but I don't think it will help a lot.

If you are the 'internet providers in Canada' as you stated
in your first message, then giving me a Canadian contact number shouldn't
be a problem. I know a number exists, I've seen it on the ****** websites.
I have gotten in touch with them asking to confirm your letters authenticity.

Hello,
There is a phone number in Canada where you can use it and ask the operator
to put you through my number (+44-1803-667846). You can find it in the
website.

To give you information about network manager is out of
the question since the messages I receive are in confidentiality. You
can phone the main base of ****** in Ottawa and they may give you some
information. Look on the web or phone the info. in Canada. ****** is
a huge company worldwide and it’s not possible for me to know
every phone number and every individual. I don’t have time to
search the web for you and it’s not my business.
The only thing I can help is to give you the reception phone number
where I work in UK which is +44-1803-662000 and try also ---2020 (You
can also search the web). If you phone this number you can ask for me
to put you through. This is all I can help you, the rest of information
you require is on the web. I won’t respond to further messages,
answering you such questions, because I am very busy to spend my time
for you as I have to treat much more serious cases and in the end I
don’t need to prove you anything Just to remind you that today
between 18:00 to 19:30 hours (UK time) I will recheck your site and
If you have removed the stuff I will forward a report that everything
is OK. Your site will be rechecked in the next couple of weeks to ensure
that stuff is permanently removed

If you're too lazy to read more, the sum of it is : the fellow said he was going
to shut down fucksociety and block the domain if we didn't remove the Spammer's
e-mail from the site, he gave us a time frame to do it in, and was quite rude
overall. We were really skeptical of him, though still cautious. If you, notice,
both the Spammer, and this fellow have the same initals. We didn't remove the
spam
button, and we could find no proof that the company he claimed to be from
had any authority to do what he said, but we e-mailed them regardless, to check
this fellows validity. After a tense few days, we got this back -

******* website contact

The basic answer to your question, "...is this official?"
- is no. Mr. Papadopoulos is our employee, but he was neither authorized
to represent ****** in this situation, nor to make the statements that
he made. This violation of ****** Policies and Procedures will be handled
appropriately; and we thank you for bringing it to our attention.

"Whoooo YEAH"
****** has no association with the mail.vu domain. While we do not
condone spam in any form or for any reason; and aggressively investigate
any spam originating from, or targeted for, any domains we are responsible
for - we have neither the time nor inclination to involve ourselves
in arenas outside our control.

"WHOOOOO, HAPPY TIMES!"
I would like to personally apologize for any inconvenience this
may have caused; and respectfully request that you remove the unauthorized
message from your web site. Of course, that is solely your decision;
but it is embarrassing to see our company associated with such gross
misstatement. I think that the removal of ****** references from KP's
message is sufficient to satisfy everyone.
Thank you,

Oh, oh YEAH..OH! THAT'S GOTTA HURT
|
That's the most beautiful e-mail ever written, my friends, truly a gem. It seems
foolish now, but we were getting worried towards the end, and the company is embarrassed
to even be affiliated with this guy! So, as it turns out, he's a big bloated ass-master
full of hot air who needs your love to keep him happy, and fucksociety will continue
to give you the means to continue spamming him and everyone else we don't like.
You know, if you want, not that we endorse or approve of that sort of thing.....VIVE
LE SPAM
[Editors Note: This poor bastards e-mail address has long been abondoned.
Spamming him now would only result in returned mail. - Dave T. 06.18.03]
